Social Media Publicists or Blogger?

I have been talking to some of my friends that work in the field of social media as well as blogging.  In an open discussion today three girls said that they hated their jobs at this time.  One complained that she is required to post on different social media sites every hour.  This barely gives her time to breath between posting.  Another said that her eyes are burning from staring at a screen since the time she wakes up. The last girl ranted about the amount of research she has to do. She spends endless hours reading news reports, blogs, and trending social media.

These are the things that we fail to consider when taking a career.  Blogging is better for me personally because I am not required to post as often. The high pressure of time constraints may impact the quality of work.  Are you a blogger or a social media publicist? Why?
